Greg Bell Photos From The Past

by gregbell 6/7/2008 10:18:00 AM

Hey folks, please check out the About Me link located on the right-hand side of this page. Once there just scroll down to the bottom of the page after my biography. I have added some photos of myself as a much younger lad.

More potentially embarrassing photos to follow!

 Greg.

Greg, can you throw me a bone on where the Station Theater in Urbana was/is? I thought I knew where almost everything in Urbana was, but that's a new one on me. Was it on campus somewhere? Looove the cowboy pics (snicker). Now I know the reason behind all the Lone Ranger episodes. ;)

The Station Theater is located on Broadway (of course) in Urbana. It is a former Train Depot between the Silver Creek Restaurant and Timpones.

Your work on XM 164 is the reason I subscribe again each year.

Particularly like the drama shows like Gunsmoke, Dragnet, The Six Shooter etc...requires the listener to pay attention and use one's imagination (vs. TV).

It would be great to hear more of the Sgt. Preston Shows...hard to find anywhere
else.

Keep it up!!

was listening to phil and alice show tonight. why did they cut off alice faye's song? I have always loved her voice and movies and I think their show is one of the funniest radio shows you have on, next to jack benny, of course. also, I love the lone ranger; I get goose bumps.

I am a over the road truck driver and all the while I am on the road I listen to old time radio untill I have heard all the shows for the week. I enjoy them very much. I'm 62 and still hear some I didn't hear when I was coming up. Have you had the pictures of the Have Gun Will Traves crew yet? What about the crew of Gunsmoke? I still love all the old shows. Keep up the good work.

Love your show, but as for the Christmas in July I didn't really enjoy. I am a truck driver and the old time shows sure keep me company.

AS Many I too love to listen to your show and let my mind be a character. My mom and dad would always tell me about the old radios shows and they are right, they are wonderful.
I have XM for your show. I also love channel 73

One of the biggest selling points to me when I was looking at Satellite Radios was Old Time Radio. WEDO here in Pittsburgh featured your show but only once a week, and for 1 hour. They also play a lot of polka, Slovakian, and Italian music, and it is a lot of fun, only thing is, they cannot reach very far. I cannot get WEDO where I live. With XM, I can get your show anytime I want. I enjoyed "Let's Pretend"'s Beauty and the Beast. (I don't care who you are, or how old, it's a show everyone can enjoy!) Wizard of Oz was featured with Judy Garland, and other movies put to radio. I like "Inner Sanctum" "The Whistler" "Murder at Midnight" "X Minus 1" and since it's so late and I am really tired, 1,000 other shows you feature I like too!

Bye for now, and I'll listen in tommorrow!
