Just got back from our annual family trip, and this year we decided to visit southern California, which included a 2 day visit to Disneyland. Imagine my surprise while waiting in line inside the haunted mansion (trying to convince my 2 kids that its all make believe) to hear Paul Frees giving a chilling introduction and "play by play" throughout the ride...it was very well done...At 1st I thought it was Orson but quickly figured it out.

Watched a surprisingly chilling/suspenseful movie (for that time anyway) on the trip with Joel McCrea called the The Most Dangerous Game. I recommend it for those fans of Jayce Pearson. Also listened to a YTJD episode called The Phantom Chase Matter on the plane ride, it was a 9 parter, which was kind of surprising, that had to be a grind if they did them live every night. Greg do you know if YTJD was broadcast live or were the nightly episodes pre-recorded? I know transcribed in hollywood means they were recorded (I think thats right) but were they recorded live is my question.

There I think I've bored enough people with vacation stories.

Hi Greg.. Thanks for the update on the merger.. Hopefully the stock will turn around before they turn the entire network into canned elevator music.. (haha).. Also, thanks for the heads-up on Johnny Dollar.. My favorite.. Really looking forward to it.. Keep up the great work..
AND Chris in Indianapolis.. Hope you enjoyed our eathquake here in So Cal.. No, it wasn't part of an Adventure-Land ride..

If anyone is interested in the historic Hooper Ratings that were the Nielsen's of radio during the Golden Age, copy and paste this web address and see how your favorites stack up.

Sorry, but this program wouldn't allow me to copy and paste the Hooper address so I'll type it out. Hopefully it will work:

If the address doesn't appear, search Hooper Ratings in Wikipedia and look for the link at the bottom of the page.
