Thanks, Greg! I'm always anxious to get a peek at the upcoming week. You're spoiling us! But I love it!

Hi, Greg! The schedule on your blog isn't coming through on my Email or computer and I'm not technical enough to figure out why. It keeps saying it's not "valid." And, unfortunately, Radio Classics doesn't have Aug. 11 up yet. HELP!

The schedule Greg puts up is in .xls format..Which is usable in Microsoft Excel. I have found a free Excel Reader that will work with the schedules. Hope this helps.. Excel Viewer 2003 www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

Thanks Tim. That worked for me. Now maybe you can figure out how I can get my picture back up here again, LOL. I Urge everyone to listen to next weeks I hour long Escape called: Earth Abides. It is a Radio Drama based on George R. Stewarts 1949 book with John Dehner (My favorite Radio Drama star). It is a story about a Plague that sweeps the earth. The Human race is all but wiped out. Civilatization breaks down, only a few survivors remain to struggle against the slide into Barbarism......or extinction. Last year when I heard this, it just struck a cord with me. My wife aquired the book for me as a 50th birthday present. WHAT A GREAT READ. So Remember: Men go and come, But Earth Abides. Thanks Grag, Bill

Greg, Is there a place on the web that describes the old time radio shows and what they are about?

To find program descriptions, do the following: 1.) Go to www.radioclassics.com 2.) Go to XM radio (it's on the right). 3.) Once on XM radio, hit "ON XM." 4.) Look for CH. 164 under "Talk & Entertainment." 5.) You'll see the dates at the top and program list underneath. Select a program you want. Make sure it's highlighted and underlined, then double-click. You'll get the program information you're seeking. 6.) At the bottom, you'll see left (earlier) and right (later) arrows. GO to either one to find other programs that interest you. You'll notice there are 2 episodes of many (but not all) programs. It's a weekly grid; the week starts Monday and goes through Sunday. "New week" starts at 12 AM (midnight) Monday and you usually can sneak a peek starting the Thursday before. I sound like an expert; I'm not - I just know I love Classic Radio and I learn so much from Greg! The channel is sponsored by Radio Spirits so if you like shows made by and available from other companies, don't waste your time asking Greg to play them - he can't. But Radio Spirits really is the best in the business so I wouldn't worry about other companies.

Greg, I listened to the "Frank Race" episode while driving in to work this morning. First time I've heard the show, and I like what I heard! I'm glad to hear you've got a big batch of episodes -- forty, if I heard you right. That should last us the better part of a year. Keep 'em coming, and keep up the great work!

Greg: Do you have any Sherlock Holmes with Basil Rathbone. I feel that he is the best. Bill

Bill, Only a couple; not sure why the Rathbone versions are in short supply, but most of what I have received over the years has John Stanley, Tom Conway or John Gielgud as Holmes. Sorry. Greg.

Greg, I'm a truck driver,I'm gone monday thur Friday,so 164 is my home away from home. Thank you for the miles of entertainment. I could not live without XM or 164! I could and actually do listen to the entire line up at least twice. I enjoy the westerns and cop/det. show the most, and Jack Benny naturally. Thank you for the back ground history, it's very interesting to get a peek behind the times. I wish the very best for you and your family. Here's to miles of smiles, I'll be listening. J.R.
