Hey folks,

Johnny Dollar is on for next week's schedule for those who are interested. Hope you can tune in. I will be waiting for Richard Diamond who is not appearing in this schedule. Oh well, I will wait for the following week to see what Greg will bring. There are other favorite shows to fill the void anyway.

Greg , " Sullivan's Travels " is my favorite movie too . I always get a little misty-eyed when Joel McCrea says at the end of the movie " There's a lot to be said for making people laugh . Did you know that's all some people have ? It isn't much but it's better than nothing in this cock-eyed caravan . Boy ! "

My favorite show to listen to when I was a youngster ( I'm now 75) was "I Love A Mystery" featuring Jack, Doc & Reggie. I would love to hear it again over your network.......Any chances? I have one of the largest collection of old-time radio shows in Michigan. I would be happy to share any of the titles I have with you and your listeners.

I'm not crezy about the Halloween-heavy programming, but no need to be negative about it..It's only once a year..

We really miss the Lone Ranger! Is it the royalties you have to pay that made it disappear? What happened?

I really enjoy listening to your shows. I do miss The Lone Ranger. Glad to hear Tales of The Texas Rangers is back. Listening to all of the shows makes traffic jams and long drives home (I live in Houston, TX) almost enjoyable. Keep'em comin'. There are so many good ones to listen to. Thanks, Byron Hodges

Just listened 'Undercurrent' on Lux. Confused though. I certainly sounds like Jeff Chandler was playing the role of Michael Garroway but the announcer at the end of the show credited the part to Ira Orielle (sp?).

Also found this on:

D-521: LUX RADIO THEATER
1- Undercurrent 10/6/47 (Robert Taylor, Katherine Hepburn)
2- Undercurrent: Conclusion ( [b] Jeff Chandler, /[b] Francis Robinson) (Very Good, Network, Drama) Cassette Length: 60 Min.

Duh! I guess I could have found that out for myself in about two seconds if I was smart enough to look it up on Wikipedia!

Good to hear Johnny Dollar, and Tales of the Texas Rangers. Don't get to hear Tales of the Texas Rangers often, let along a two hour's worth.

I forgot about the time change. I hope that didn't effect my recording for Old Time Radio.

Hi, Gang! I LOVE "Undercurrent"! Truthfully, I feared it would be one of Kate Hepburn's screwball comedies but I'm delighted to hear I was ever so wrong.
This week's "Our Miss Brooks" also is terrific but then, again, I love that show so every episode is terrific.
Glad to hear a 2-hour "Texas Rangers." I'm on the bandwagon with those who miss "The Lone Ranger" but I KNOW Greg is working very hard to get it back on the air for us.
Thanks, Greg, also for the Roy Rogers shows - I really like them. Guess I'm a not-so-secret "Buckaroo"!
Hey, Gang - did anyone go to the convention and, if so, how was it? Maybe next year I'll be able to go. Happy Trails and Happy listening, everybody and Good Night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are.

I have been listening for about two years now and enjoy almost all of the programs. The mystery/detective shows are my favourite. It's truly amazing how we can step back in time through this wonderful station. It really makes me appreciate the technology and comforts we enjoy every day when you hear the comercials that were run through the war years. Collecting and selling used fat? Wow! I'm in my mid forties and have listened to classic radio whenever I can. Now with satelite radio, I don't have to wait for the two hours a week a radio sation in Vancouver plays! Thanks Greg for your knowledgeable commentary during your show. I love to learn about the goldem age of radio.

Keep up the great work!

I too am in my mid forties and enjoy old time radio. A few weeks ago there was a program from 1939 when my mother was only 2 months old. I wonder if my grandparents listened to it while she was a baby and now 60 years later I can hear it again.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It is the old what goes around comes around routine. Did you acquired lots of links and I see lots of trackbacks??
